Queued Consults

  • received: A consult has been accepted by the SMD System but has not moved to the next step in the workflow. Consults should progress within a few minutes.
  • ready_to_book: A consult is being evaluated by the routing system.
  • unassigned: A consult is waiting for a clinician. Escalation processes will begin automatically if SLA is at risk.
  • assigned: A consult queued for a specific clinician.
  • scheduled: The consult is booked and the timeslot is reserved with a clinician.
  • clinician_change: SteadyMD is working to identify coverage for a scheduled visit due to an unexpected schedule change.
  • ready_to_resume: 1) a patient has responded to a clinician's question for async messaging visits. 2) the clinician has put the visit "on hold" to come back and wrap up later.

Consults In Progress

  • in_progress: A clinician is working on the consult

  • referred_out: The clinician is unable to provide the requested treatment or recommends the patient seek in person care based on their clinical judgment. These consults will have a treatment plan available on the encounter.
  • cancel: For on demand visits, partners can cancel a visit any time before it moves from a queued status to an in progress status.
