Pediatric Requirements

By default, patients under the age of 18 are not eligible for care through SteadyMD.

Consults with patients over the allowed age threshold will be automatically rejected.

Please submit a request to account management to add this patient demographic to your program.

Integration Requirements for Pediatric Patients

Complete Integration

1. Create the guardian in our system as a patient
2. Update the episode to attach the parent/guardian guid
3. Submit the guardian’s identity documents instead of the child’s
4. When the guardian has agreed to all required parent/guardian consent forms, let us know using the claim type parental consent
5. Send the relationship to the patient as part of the intake questionnaire
6. If this is a program that includes an Rx request, SteadyMD requires Intake Observations for height and weight

If all pediatric requirements are not met, a consult will be automatically rejected with the corresponding reject reason.

Limited Integration
When creating the consult please set the pediatric flag to true to ensure anyone under 18 is routed to a clinician with the appropriate pediatric background.
