Preferred Pharmacy

Partners should collect a patient’s preferred pharmacy choice during the intake process as well as when patient are raising concerns about side effects (See Search Pharmacy for lookup info). Partners may have a partnership pharmacy, however the patient must be able to opt for their pharmacy of choice. The patient’s preferred pharmacy choice can be sent when creating an episode of care, or later in the intake process prior to the visit via the update episode endpoint.

If a program is using a partnered pharmacy and would like to test electronic scripts from SteadyMD to the partnered pharmacy via the SureScripts network in sandbox, the pharmacy will have to ensure they are setup in the surescripts staging environment.

The pharmacy will need to reach out to SureScripts and request they be added to the staging environment. Once created by SS, we will see the partnered pharmacy as a selectable option in the staging environment when writing a test prescription, enabling the partner, SteadyMD, and the partnered pharmacy to be able to test end to end.
